Accent on achievement Flute Book 1 builds the fundamentals of playing, developing a student’s rhythm, ear, sight-reading ability, confidence and general playing. It contains a multitude of different exercises and pieces acting as a foundation for a student’s musical journey.
The flute is an instrument that is considered easy to pick up but incredibly difficult to master. Lots of people can blow through the mouthpiece and get a sound out. However, being able to pitch accurately, play in tune and create a beautiful tone – are elements of flute playing that take years or even decades to master.
Accent on achievement Flute Book 1, is the first in the series of 3 books. It begins with the fundamentals of the instrument and music theory, understanding what symbol means what. From here, it transports a student to playing basic pieces, gradually increasing in complexity. It provides a great musical foundation when used in conjunction with lessons. Some of the staff members in our shop even learned to play their instrument with the Accent on Achievement series.
